Air Sampling detectors

Air Sampling smoke detectors work by:

  • Continually drawing air into a pipe network attached to a detector unit.
  • Passing the air through a dual stage filter to remove dirt
  • Continually drawing air into a pipe network attached to a detector unit
  • Passing the air through a dual stage filter to remove dirt
  • Sending the clean air to a laser detection chamber for smoke detection
  • Measuring the light scatter caused by any smoke
  • Processing the detector signal and presenting the smoke level graphically
  • Communicating the information to a fire alarm control panel, a software management system or a building management system

STRATOS range of detectors are the only high sensitivity systems which are routinely applied to the protection of very dirty or dusty environments. This is achieved by using Laser Dust Discrimination (LCD). At the other extreme, Stratos - HSSD 2 is capable of providing the very highest levels of sensitivity

VESDA :air sampling fire detection system detects the invisible by-products of materials as they degrade during the pre combustion stages of an incipient fire. And, by actively and continuously sampling air, the system operates independently of air movements.

HART XL is a sophisticated laser based aspirating detector which uses unique laser based technology to count particles of smoke in the atmosphere in a protected area, to reliably detect fire in its very earliest stages. Samples of the atmosphere in the protected
area are drawn. HART XL  provides the ultimate in detection for critical, high value assets.
